From the Home Screen, navigate to the "More" tab and select Causeview Settings.
In Causeview Settings there are four options you can navigate to:
3. Gift Aid
4. Year-End Job
In General, you can manage your active and historical individual bucket accounts.
The active individual bucket account is used for current active records that are being used as a parent record for individuals with no parent account.
Historical individual bucket accounts can be created once you maximize your active individual bucket accounts. Salesforce allows room for 50,000 records to be within an active bucket account, by adding historical individual bucket accounts, you are able to store more individuals with no parent account.
In the rollup section, you have the ability to select a specific record type for the giving rollup to calculate. By using the arrows pointing left and right, you can select with record types you'd like to include. You can also use the arrows pointing up and down to determine the order the records will rollup in. Once you've selected what you want to include, then click update.
In addition to the giving rollup, you can run or schedule a full contact rollup. The full contact rollup will only calculate the giving rollup for transaction record types specified in "Record Types in Rollup". Select the record types you would like to include, click update, and then click run full contact rollup or schedule full contact rollup. When choosing the full contact rollup, the rollup will start immediately whereas schedule full contact rollup allows you to choose a date and time for the rollup to perform.
*Note: a full contact rollup could take hours if you have a vast number of contacts in your database. Our team suggests that's you choose to schedule your full contact rollup on off-hours.
Within the gift aid tab, you can select which payment types that will be eligible for gift aid. Once selected, click update to save your eligible payment types.
You can also update historical payments to reflect these new payment types being included in the Gift Aid Claim. You have the option to update historical payments now or schedule job to update historical payments. If you use the second option, you can set the date and time you would like the job to run.
The Year-End Job tab identifies potential job errors that need to be resolved before, to ensure that the year-end job runs smoothly. Within the tab, you will see a link to a report that identifies transactions that are missing a donor, as well as a link to a report of transactions that have users who are inactive, causing incomplete year-end data. Under both sections, a solution is identified.
These errors need to be fixed before the year-end job runs and consolidated receipts are needed to be issued to ensure data quality.
