If you add a Drop Down control, you will see the Data List option at the top of the properties section, which allows you to select a pre-built list for your drop down options. When you assign the Data List, it will automatically assign those values to that control.
After selecting the Data List selection, you can edit the list or change to another Data List.
When editing the Data List, there are three main sections: Value, Label, and Relationship Key.
Value = the value we would input on the backend.
ie. A Label could be called Operating Fund, and the value would be the Fund ID, F0001.
Label = The name of the value showing to your constituents on the form.
Relationship Key – Allows you to create a Parent-Child relationship between controls.
ie. If you select ‘Canada’ from the Country list, it will automatically show a new list with its provinces.
Once you save the Data List, it will add the Labels to the control.
To have the changes go live, you must click Save and Publish Form.
