Impact Events are linked directly to an Event (Campaign) record in your Causeview Application. To setup your event, follow these steps:
- Create Event in Causeview
- Launch Impact Event Manager from Causeview
- Upload your primary event image
- Define your basic event details
From the event (Campaign) record in the Causeview application, click on the Event Management button to launch Impact Event Manager. If an Impact Event is already linked to that Event record the existing event's dashboard will be loaded. If no Impact Event exists it will be created based on the Event record and you will see the new dashboard. The event name and date will be pulled from the record.
From the dashboard, you can add an image and edit the details.
To add an image click on the image icon.
Click on the pencil icon to edit the event details.
The following are the event details you can define:

Field | Description |
---|---|
Date | The date the event takes place. Impact Events do not natively support multi-day events. |
Location | Use Google Address to specify the location of the venue. Constituents will be able to use Google Maps on the registration form and the emailed tickets to view the location. |
Capacity | Total number of individuals that can attend this event. |
Description | Description of the Event to be used on the registration form and communications |
Email Description | This is a rich-text field to be provided only to attendees. This could be special instructions or information regarding the venue or other logistics. |
Optional Donation | Check this option if you want to offer your constituent's the opportunity to make a donation on top of any registration fees. The donation is 100% tax-receiptable isn’t affected by promo codes nor benefit values. |
Send Ticket Attachment | If you do not wish to send the PDF ticket attachment for these email acknowledgments you can disable this option. * |
Click Save to update your Impact Event. Any registration forms and tickets issued going forward will be updated with the new event details.
* - if you're using workflow within your CRM for Canadian tax receipting this setting will not change that.
