The Causeview home page helps you monitor key metrics that are relevant to you, manage and prioritize your time, search for things, and navigate to areas and content within a few clicks.
Causeview Banner
At the top of the screen, you'll find a global search bar. Global Search allows you to search all of Causeview through a single search bar. It's intelligent and gets better every time you use it by keeping track of which things you use the most and arranging the result accordingly.
For example, we’re looking for a major gift donor called Thomas Desmond. We can enter Tom, Desmond, or tom.be.desmond@gmail.com. You can also use wildcards. For example, typing in an asterisk at the end of “To” will search for results starting with “To”.
On the right side of the screen, you’ll see your profile icon in a drop-down box. This will allow you to view and edit your profile, perform some system administration, switch to Salesforce Classic and log out. Clicking on help and training will take you to Salesforce’s help site. It’s got a lot of great information related to Salesforce and is very extensive. Next to it is a Setting button as well as a Notification button. The button that on the left, next to where it says Causeview is the Application Selection menu. This lets you switch to different apps you might have installed.
Menu Bar
the bar running along the top contains tabs. These tabs take you to different areas within Causeview. Different tabs can be configured to be made available to different people.
These are the standard ones that Causeview comes with. Depending on the width of your screen, you may see a down arrow at the very end; click on this to see tabs that wouldn’t fit along the top. The plus sign at the end will take you to a page that contains all of the tabs available to you.
Sidebar
On the right side of the screen is the sidebar. Within the sidebar, you’ll see a section called Recent Items. Instead of hitting back on your web browser, Recent Items allows you to quickly navigate to things or areas that you worked on recently, using a single click. It also shows your Key Deals - Recent Opportunities, as well as a list of items that need your approval.
Dashboard
On the left side of the screen, you'll see a dashboard, which is a graphical representation of the information that is pertinent to your position within the organization. The dashboard provides you with an at-a-glance overview of metrics that are pertinent to you. Causeview comes with over 60 templates to choose from. To refresh the dashboard with more-recent data, click on "Refresh."
