Keeping your data lists up-to-date ensures the options you present to your supporters on your online forms are always relevant. Therefore, it is always a good idea to periodically review your data lists, update the ones you are using (when needed) and delete the ones you no longer need.
Deleting unused data lists helps to keep your data list inventory clean and makes it easier for you to find the ones that are currently being used.
Please note that a data list can only be deleted if it is not being used in any of your forms. This is to prevent you from accidentally deleting a data list that a field on a form is referencing.
If a data list is being used on a form, you will see a Forms button beside the data list. By clicking on this button, you'll be able to see all the forms using said data list.
If you wish to delete a data list that is being used on a form, you must first assign a different data list to the field referencing said data list.
When a data list is no longer being used on any forms, you will see a Delete button beside it. Click on delete to remove a data list.
A confirmation message will display on your screen. Click on OK to continue.
