Impact Designer provides you with the ability to specify how you want your form displayed when it is embedded. There are two (2) display options:
- Vertical - displays all sections in a single page where the donor simply scrolls down the page to populate and submit the form
- Wizard - displays each section as a separate step where the donor goes through each step to populate information and submit the form
While many organizations choose the simpler vertical form, others prefer the wizard, which guides the donor through each step they need to complete.
Please note that you can only specify your display preference after the form has been published.
Once the form is published, you now have the option of embedding the form. The form can be embedded on a page on your website or a page you design through Page Designer.
To embed the form, go to Form from the top menu and click on Embed Form.
To specify the type of display for a form (vertical vs. wizard), click on Back within the embed window.
Next, select your preferred display type and click on Generate Form Code.
Click on Copy beside Embed Code. You can now insert this code snippet on your webpage to embed the form.
Please note that if the form has already been published previously, changing the display type (from vertical to wizard or vice versa) requires you to re-embed the form on your webpage as the code snippet dictates the display type. When you change the display type on the form, it changes the embed code.
If you choose to display your form in wizard mode, you can further customize the wizard steps and navigation. Click here to learn how.
