A toggle button group is another way to present picklist options to your supporters. Instead of displaying values in a picklist (dropdown menu), it displays each value as a button. Toggle button groups provide you more options in terms of styling and makes it easier for donors to see and select values when accessing the form through a mobile device.
Toggle button groups make use of Data Lists to determine which values to display as options. It is recommended that you create a Data List first before you add a Toggle Button Group to your form.
To add a Toggle Button Group to your form, drag the Toggle Button Group control from Form Controls to your desired area on the form.
To change the label for the toggle button group, go to the Properties Panel on the right and edit the Label Text. You can also specify the Label Position and Label Width.
Next, you will need to specify which data list to use. From the Properties Panel on the right, click on the Search Icon beside Data List.
Look for the data list you would like to use and click on Assign beside it.

The toggle buttons on your form will now display the values contained in the data list you assigned.
If you would like to edit the values within the data list, click on the Edit Icon beside the Data List in the Properties Panel.
If you would like to change the button that is selected by default, select a Default Value from the Properties Panel on the right.
You would also need to map the toggle button group to Salesforce so that Impact Designer knows where to write the information when the form is submitted.
On the Properties Panel on the right, click on the Search Icon beside Mapping.
Select the Object and Field you would like the data mapped to in Salesforce. If you created a new object or field in Salesforce and do not see it as an option in the picklist, click on Pull Metadata. This will refresh Impact Designer and grab any new objects and fields you have in your Salesforce org.
Click on Save Mapping after you've selected both Object and Field.

Once you are finished configuring your Toggle Button Group, click on Save on top of the form.
To publish your form, go to Form from the top menu and click on Publish Form.
Toggle Button Groups are not only easy to add and configure but are also a great way to present picklist values to your supporters. You can even add your own CSS to enhance the look of your toggle buttons.
