Impact Designer provides you with the ability to apply your own Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) to any of your forms and pages. This feature gives you more control over the design and styling of your forms and pages. You can configure your forms to match the styling of the rest of your website or campaign. The more it matches, the more comfortable donors will be that they're dealing with your organization and more willing to make the gift online.
You can save as many CSS Themes as you need in a library and re-use them across multiple forms and pages.
To create a CSS Theme, navigate to the Impact Homepage (you can click on the Impact logo at the top left corner to go to the homepage) and go to Forms & Pages at the top menu. Click on CSS Themes.
The page will display all of your existing CSS Themes (if any). Click on Create New at the top right corner.
Give your CSS Theme a name and click on Create Theme. A more descriptive name will help you easily identify between your CSS themes.
You will now see the new theme you've just created. Click on the theme name to edit it.
A theme editor will display on the page. You can choose to edit the existing theme or copy and paste your own theme if you already have an existing style sheet. Click on Save when finished.
Now that you've created a CSS Theme, you can apply the theme to any of your forms and pages.
Apply a CSS Theme to a Form
To apply a CSS theme to a form, go to the form first and from the menu on top, go to Settings and click on CSS Theme.
Select the CSS theme you would like to apply from the drop down menu and click on Apply Theme.
The form will refresh and the CSS theme you selected will be applied to the form. Click on Save on top to save your changes.
To make your changes live, you would need to publish the form. Go to Form from the top menu and click on Publish Form.
Apply a CSS Theme to a Page
To apply a CSS Theme to a Page, you need to first navigate to the page and click on Theme from the left menu.
Next, select the CSS theme you would like to apply from the drop down menu and click on Save.
You must also save the changes you've made to the page by clicking on Save on top of the page itself.
Applying CSS Themes is a great way to not only make your forms and pages match the styling of the rest of your website but it also makes your forms and pages more attractive to your supporters.
