A datepicker allows you to capture date information from your donors such as recurring start dates and birth dates. By default, the stock donation form already contains a datepicker for capturing recurring start dates from donors, but you can always customize your forms to include other datepickers.
To add a date picker to your form, simply drag Datepicker from the Form Controls panel over to your desired area on the form.
To change the label, go to the Properties Panel on the right and enter your desired label in Label Text. You can also specify the label position and label width.
Next, you need to specify mapping information for your datepicker. From the Properties Panel on the right, click on the Search icon beside Mapping.
Specify the Salesforce object and field you would like your datepicker mapped to. If you've created a new object or field within Salesforce and do not see them as options for mapping, click on Pull Metadata. Click on Save Mapping when finished.
Remember to save your changes by clicking on Save on top of the form.
To make your changes live, you would need to also publish your form. Go to Form from the top menu and click on Publish Form.
Your organization may want to limit the dates displayed in a date picker to decrease processing fees incurred with your payment processor or to make it more manageable to track when recurring donations are processed.
